Dashboard

In short

The Dashboard is the CAFMTEK landing view. It shows live work order status, PPM compliance, SLA performance and outstanding actions the moment a user logs in. Figures are scoped to that user's contracts and permissions, so each role sees only what applies to them.

Most facility teams start the day by asking the same three questions. What is open, what is overdue, and are we meeting the contract. The Dashboard answers those before anyone opens a report.

It is the first screen after login. Work order status, PPM compliance, SLA performance and outstanding actions are shown live rather than assembled at month end.

Scoped to the user

The figures are not the same for everyone. Each user sees the KPIs, charts and alerts for the contracts and locations their permissions cover. A supervisor responsible for one building does not see a portfolio-wide number, and a client-facing manager does not see another client’s contract.

This matters for teams running several contracts for different owners, where the same system has to serve people who must not see each other’s data.

Drilldowns

Every figure on the Dashboard opens the records behind it. A number that looks wrong can be checked immediately rather than raised as a query, which is usually what stops teams trusting a dashboard.

How it connects to other modules

  • Task Management supplies the work order status figures.
  • PPM Management supplies PPM compliance.
  • SLA & KPI Management supplies SLA performance.
  • Reports is the separate module for formatted, scheduled exports. The Dashboard is for looking, Reports is for sending.

Frequently asked questions

Does everyone see the same dashboard? No. Figures are scoped to each user’s contracts and permissions, so people see the KPIs, charts and alerts relevant to their role.

Can you open the records behind a figure? Yes. Each figure drills down into the underlying records.

Is the Dashboard the same as Reports? No. The Dashboard is a live view for working from. Reports produces formatted Excel or CSV exports from a saved template, and can email them automatically on a schedule.
